Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Rights in Asia Conference 2026

The Circulate Initiative’s Senior Director of Programs, Annerieke Douma, contributed to a panel discussion titled “The Cost of Convenience: Plastic Pollution and the Business and Human Rights Agenda.”

The session opened with a screening of the Asia in Focus episode, “The Cost of Convenience,” which explores the business and human rights implications of Asia’s plastic pollution crisis. The subsequent panel discussion examined how business activities impact people across the supply chain and explored practical tools to help companies identify, address, and mitigate their plastic footprint while strengthening competitiveness and long-term business value.
