Yunia leads the Responsible Sourcing Initiative Africa, which promotes the responsible sourcing of plastics across the African continent.

Yunia has over 10 years of experience in supply chain management, business development, regional expansion, and project management.

Prior to joining The Circulate Initiative, Yunia served as Chief of Growth and Innovation at Mr. Green Africa, a plastic recycling company in Kenya that integrates informal waste pickers, waste entrepreneurs, and consumers into its formal value chain by leveraging technology to enhance transparency and traceability. At Mr. Green Africa, Yunia was responsible for developing the growth strategy for regional expansion into neighboring countries, establishing new supply channels, and conducting new product development research. Yunia previously worked at Twiga Foods Ltd, where she led several transformative projects in supply chain, stakeholder, and inventory management.

Yunia holds a Bachelor of Education in Business and Mathematics from Kenyatta University, Kenya.
