Sustainability Week Asia, organized by Economist Impact, brings together industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs and researchers from across Asia Pacific to discuss how they can effectively measure, analyse, transform and scale their sustainability initiatives.
The Circulate Initiative’s Director of Impact and Insights, Ellen Martin, joined experts from H&M Group, Globe Group and Economist Impact for a virtual session titled “Promoting the S in ESG”. The panel discussed how social issues are affecting businesses and the environment as well as the strategies adopted to measure and deliver impact. Specific to the plastic waste management and recycling sector, Ellen highlighted the importance of empowering and uplifting informal waste workers, as the world advances on its transition to circularity.
