The article reports on a pilot project by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to use specially-designed compressed garbage trucks with separate bins for food waste. The aim of the project is to reduce the costs of garbage disposal. The pilot will be conducted in three districts of the capital - Phaya Thai, Pathumwan, and Nong Khaem - for a month, after which the BMA will evaluate its effectiveness. The trucks are painted green with a bold statement that reads "No Mixing (of food waste)". If the pilot is successful, the BMA plans to gradually expand the project to cover all 50 districts in the capital.
