This resource presents the findings of a rapid assessment of the waste management systems currently in place in Labuan Bajo. This assessment includes cost estimates for improved waste management, a proposed operational model for the PDU (pusat daur ulang recycling center) and a revenue collection framework for the local government to fund an improved waste management system. The final framework proposes a public-private partnership for Labuan Bajo that provides monetary incentives to producers of waste to sort at source.
