This resource provides the reader with an understanding of the basic gender analytical
framework developed for Southeast Asia. With this baseline, the resource then utilizes this framework in a series of subsequent case studies. The case studies focus on water and sanitation, air pollution, along with solid waste management. The case studies examine women's unique roles in relation to waste and the waste collection sector, and how understanding these roles can help provides solutions for improving solid waste management.
