This document outlines the structure and key provisions of the Framework Act on Resource Circulation (FARC) enacted in South Korea to address the country's environmental, economic, and social challenges. The provisions of the FARC can be divided into three categories: establishing a basis for resource circulation, promoting resource circulation, and supporting recycling industries. The FARC introduces new waste management programs such as the 'Recyclable Resource Recognition Program (RRRP)', the 'Resource Circulation Performance Management Program (RCPMP)', and 'Waste Disposal Fees', among others.
