The paper conducts a deep dive into the impacts of these pollutants on ecosystems and marine life, human health, and the economy. The paper recommends specific solutions in the areas of infrastructure, policy, mindset, and innovation for seven priority areas: wastewater management, stormwater management, green chemistry practices and new materials, coastal zone improvements, radical resource efficiency, recover and recycle the materials, and build local systems for safe food and water.
