The APR Post Consumer Resin (PCR) Certification Program endorses companies that provide third-party auditing of PCR. The program also promotes APR member companies that receive certification. The goal of the program is to promote PCR certification that is reliable, consistent, and accessible to both producers and users of recycled plastic resins. The program ensures conformity among auditors around a clear, consistent definition of PCR that aligns with the ISO 14021:2016. This work helps to level the playing field among credible PCR third-party certifying bodies and increase accessibility and confidence in PCR supply across diverse applications (e.g. olefins, other rigid plastics, flexible films).
