This executive summary presents key findings on the present situation and the policy proposal on the project on developing a policy framework for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging waste in Thailand. The research has identified gaps between the objectives of existing policies and the reality of packaging waste management. This work complements the EPR Toolbox that GIZ has translated into Thai by situating the policy opinions on EPR models and options in the Thai context.
