This report outlines a roadmap for Indonesia to achieve its goal of reducing marine plastic leakage by 70% by 2025 and ultimately achieving near-zero plastic pollution by 2040 by transitioning to a circular economy for plastics. It presents a set of ambitious actions that cover priority areas across the plastics ecosystem, including reducing avoidable plastic use, materials innovation, waste recovery, recycling, and disposal. These actions are grounded in Indonesia's first comprehensive and fully costed analysis of the topic, adapted from global research by the Pew Charitable Trusts and SYSTEMIQ4, and developed with the NPAP Indonesia Expert Panel, NPAP Indonesia Steering Board, Indonesian Government, and other stakeholders.
