This article reports that residents of Phnom Penh in Cambodia will now be required to pay their rubbish collection fees electronically, following an order from Prime Minister Hun Sen. Waste collection fees were previously included in electricity invoices issued by Cambodian national utility company Electricite du Cambodge (EdC), but they were removed from those invoices in October. The fees themselves will remain largely unchanged, at $1 per average household, and residents will be able to pay their dues via payment service providers such as Acleda Bank Plc, Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank, e-money, Ly Hour Pay Pro Plc, Pi Pay and True Money.
