This resource chronicles the work of the Plastic Producers Operational Working Group (POW), a collaboration of waste worker organizations designed to share best practices and develop support networks. The document provides background on the five POW waste picker organizations: Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group (India), Plastics for Change (India), WIEGO (Brazil and Global), First Mile (Haiti, Honduras, Taiwan) and Mr. Green Africa (Kenya). The resource details how each group used a small grant from the associated Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit (OPLS) to develop projects to address key needs of informal workers.
