2022 marked a year of milestones and achievements for The Circulate Initiative, building on our momentum to develop new research and tools, and scale programs focused on addressing the ocean plastic pollution challenge.

Working closely with our partners, we provided greater transparency on the financing of the plastics circular economy, facilitated better understanding of local recycling supply chains and advanced efforts to embed inclusivity within the ecosystem.
 

In 2021, The Circulate Initiative made significant progress on its mission to end ocean plastic pollution and build circular, inclusive economies through key initiatives across our two main pillars of work: Insights and Incubation.

Together with our partners, we were able to bridge stakeholder understanding of the plastic waste problem in South and Southeast Asia as well as accelerate the support provided to innovators, communities and cities. Learn more about our strategies and achievements in our 2021 Annual Report.

Throughout 2020, The Circulate Initiative pursued its work focused on closing critical gaps preventing progress towards solving the plastic pollution crisis.

 

Along with our partners, we continued to support the incubation of circular, inclusive, and investible waste management and recycling systems and to generate insights that accelerate investment and scale. 




 

Since its inception, The Circulate Initiative has worked hard to help end ocean plastic and build thriving, inclusive economies.
