Hosted by Eco-Business, the Lunch & Learn session focuses on waste management in Asia and how countries in the region can scale up circular innovations, as the world approaches the first session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop a legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.
The Circulate Initiative’s Research Director, Umesh Madhavan, joined as a guest speaker to unpack Asia’s plastic pollution problem and existing market gaps hindering progress towards circularity. He also highlighted emerging circular solutions and provided perspectives on how innovative finance mechanisms and policies can advance solutions in the region.
